Our career is the central point of our lives and although money cannot buy everything, however a successful career can definitely open up the path to achieving the big and small pleasures of life. All of us try to get that extra edge over competition in every area of our life, be it through enhancing our career skills, polishing our knowledge or through other means such as luck enhancing tactics. The ancient practice of Feng Shui is one such tool available to individuals through which they can enhance different aspects of their lives. This Chinese practice balances the various elements like wind, water, air and fire to achieve peace and harmony in the crucial areas of our life like career, health, wealth and ofcourse personal relationships. You may face a certain phase in your life where nothing seems to work out for you in the career front, or perhaps you are not being able to achieve the level of success that you deserve. Some Feng Shui career tips are general in nature and are beneficial for one and all. The water element is a strong force in activating career luck. The goldfish or terrapin turtle are popular choices for activating career luck. However, the direction in which you are placing the water body containing the fish or the turtle will play a crucial role in determining the positive effect on career luck. The Chinese coins are believed to be an auspicious tool in attracting wealth and luck. Place three coins tied together with a red ribbon in your wallet and you will see your wealth luck changing. The coins are also an auspicious symbol to be hung at the doorknob, facing the room. Any career tips for older college grad trying to switch careers?been a truck driver most of my life. Just went back to school and finished my B.A., but its a general Liberal Arts degree. I like helping people and the career assessment tests i've taken say my personality is suited for counseling. What kinds of jobs might be suited for me or what do i need to do to become a counselor?

You can take what are known as survey courses, where you touch on these subjects. But you will never be able to get a bachelors level degree in them all. You can only major in one, or at most 2 related subjects. You have the option of getting a minor also. As for the particular university, you have to do your own research. Where you go will be a combination of your interests and how well you have done academically.
Well, usually to be a counselor you have to have a masters degree. I want to be a school social worker for a while and then someday I would like to teach college. I am getting a B.S. in psychology degree and then a masters in social work. But, with a general degree like you have you may be able to do lots of things. You may be able to get a job at as a psychologists assistant or something like that. Or maybe get a job at a small business or in retail as a manager. You just have to look around. But, i reccomend you decided on what it is you for sure want to do and get a masters degree in it, it will help out a great deal!

Consider going back to school? Many people our age are returning to school after completing/leaving one career for another. You may find that the experiences you received from your career can be converted to college credits. Give it a shot you might be surprised!! Good Luck!
I have three tips for you.
1. Watch great actresses and actors, and find things about their acting that you think you could convey in yours. Find the pieces of yourself and your personality that can shine through while your acting, and get something that makes your acting special, something that people will notice when you audition. But don't try too hard to be just like someone else. There's only one of them and you can't be just like anyone else.
2. Start small and work your way up. It's all fine and dandy if you're a great actor or actress, but if you have nothing to put on your audition slip or resume, you've got less of a chance. Start with some community theater in a local town and work up to community theater in some cities near you. The more parts you land, the more experience you'll have behind you and the more things you have to put on your audition slips and resume, the better chance you have.
3. Since you're still pretty young, it is absolutely important to get your parents behind you. You'll need someone to drive you to rehearsals and auditions and support you one hundred percent if you land a big-time role. If they don't believe in you, and aren't willing to help you through what's to come, you don't have much of a chance.
Hey, good for you! I'm 17 and I've wanted to be a nurse all my life since my mom had a heart surgery. All I can think to tell you is, do your utmost best in school, chemistry, biology, and all those crazy math classes are probably really important too. You may want to volunteer at your local hospital as a Candystriper, a.k.a Junior volunteer. I did that for a year and it was very enlightning and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The key to being a good doctor or nurse is to relate to your patient. You don't want to have a bedside manner that resembles House from the TV show! Haha! But anyway, good luck. We need more good doctors.
