Advertisements for women to strip for web cams on Internet sex sites for £8 an hour have been posted at a Jobcentre in Cardiff, south Wales.

The advertisement was placed by Cybertrade and is offering an hourly wage for a 15 to 40 hours week, between the times of 9pm and midday.

No experience is required as training is given and all applicants must be over the age of 18.

Duties include performing to a web-cam for clients or customers’ fantasies and explicit sexual dialogue, which may cause embarrassment for some people.

The ad goes on to say, ‘There is no obligation to consider making an application for this vacancy. However, if you feel it is suitable for you, please discuss it further with an advisor.

‘This vacancy meets the requirements of the National Minimum Wage Act. Tax credits could top up your earnings.’

Politicians and family campaigners have openly criticised the jobcentre for posting the vacancies.

They are outraged that this kind of work is openly advertised in jobcentres across the country.

However this is not the first incident of a job vacancy for the sex industry. Earlier this year branches posted a job offering £100 an hour for escorting.

Jobcentre network are legally obliged to carry the ads for legal work in the sex and personal services industries.

This follows a High Court Judgement ruling after the Ann Summers Sex shop chain brought a test case in 2003.

A spokesperson for the Department of Work and Pensions said, ‘our advisers always check on the full details of any vacancies notified to us.

It is therefore not surprising that applicants once describes as Marketing Executives find their way standing all through the day mainly between 7.00am and 6.00pm on the busy roads of the country pursuing and trying to win passers-by to purchase their products. The annoying thing about this employment is that these Marketing Executives who are often given targets, with mandates to sell to passers-by whose minds were not prepared before leaving their homes unimaginable number of these products. Our Marketing Executives are often required to sell within a week the number of products that the entire firm has not sold in 4 years and they must achieve this before they will be paid their paltry salaries which is also ridiculous.

It is now common to see youths surrounding vendor stands with papers and biros writing out vacancies they have “hired” from newspaper vendors.
