In this present time to get a good job is not easy. There are thousands or even millions competitors out there. Each of them seem to be well equipped, having working experiences, good educational background, many involvement on organizations, skilful, and other thing which may make you feel so small to be compared with them. But there is one thing that you have to know: all great things of those millions competitors have will not mean much when they do not know hot to promote themselves.

This is actually the key factor when you are applying for jobs, promotions. Do the best promotion that will make the employers you well. Meaning to say, you give informative and effective ways about yourself. It sounds simple, yet it needs more than just writing up all of stuffs at your curriculum vitae. You will need a media which will keep you in touch will those thousand employers and recruiters which will look for new employee and what they will look first is hoe you promote yourself. There are some good places for you to have your own brand and boost up your profile through a gift card that you send to the employers and recruiters. It is your choice and chance now. What you want to write on your profile and let the employers know that you are the best candidate to work at their companies. Good luck!

Spain has a fairly long history in Europe, having been formed with the marriage of Queen Isabel of Castile and King Ferdinand. The country has suffered some political pressure throughout its long history. The most difficult period was during 1975, when Spain’s cities tried to become independent. There are now 17 regions in Spain with considerable power. The population is 88 percent Spanish, with 12 percent other. The country was also founded on Catholicism in which 79 percent of its people still practice the religion.

The climate is fairly wet due to its location. Health and disease is mild due to primary health care. The life expectancy in Spain is roughly 78 to 84 years of age. The country hosts strong knit families. Right now in the economic state of the country these families are suffering. Construction, cement, chemicals, engineering, timber, automobiles, and textiles are the main industries. Each of these industries is suffering because of the subprime mortgage crisis and resulting recession. For families who are out of work one answer is Trabajo de Barcelona. This website provides jobs and advice for those who need it. They are there to help alleviate the current unemployment issues that plague Spain and will continue to be an issue in 2010.

Uponor is a European company that sells plastic pipes. They have been seeing huge losses in profits since the housing industry began to have issues. Since they produce products needed in construction they have been unable to sell their products. Cost reduction has had to occur to sell what they had in stock. Uponor Suomi Oy is just one of the facilities that started laying off employees. The lay- offs are considered temporary, but only a revival of the economy will lead to the re-hiring of employees. In the last two months they have had to cut 360 jobs.

At Virsbo in Sweden 52 jobs have been cut, and 19 jobs in Spain and Portugal. At the end of April the UK will show 19 job cuts. The economic times make it difficult for those with jobs to feel secure, yet they have nowhere else to go. Those in need of jobs should consider sites like Ofertas de Trabajo Santander. This site provides job listings to be found in Spain and Portugal. It will also list jobs outside of the country for those who do not mind moving. The job site is set up to provide advice for those who may have suffered job loss due to cuts.

Job seekers everywhere are trying to find new and innovative ways to improve their job search efforts. In an economy where unemployment is rising, companies are cutting back, fewer businesses than usual are starting up and downsizing is the norm, there are more people searching for work than there has been in quite a while. Families are tightening their belts and spending less, while trying to reduce debt they accumulated when the economy was good. More and more people who depend on commission are finding that their household income has dropped significantly. Many households that had a stay at home parent are now faced with that person needing to return to the workforce in order to make ends meet. For all these reasons and more, competition in the job market is fierce.

Resume distribution is one of those relatively new services that developed along with the rise in Internet use for finding jobs. Today’s job seekers use the Internet almost exclusively in their job search efforts. There are online job boards that are updated in real time with new jobs as they become available. Professional recruiting services all have web sites and do much of their work online. Individual company websites list job openings, as do online classifieds and many other sites. For the job seeker however, visiting all the possibly pertinent sites and posting your resume can be extremely time consuming.

That’s where resume distribution services come into play. In exchange for paying a small but reasonable fee, a resume distribution service will blast your resume to multiple sites at once. They will target hundreds and possibly even thousands of recruiting firms, corporations, hospitals, large businesses and other employers. This helps to save an incredible amount of time in your job search because you reach a huge number of possible employers at once. It is an especially useful option for anyone who is looking for any job that comes along and fast. The downside is that you have no say in where your resume is sent and it may or may not end up helping you get a job.

To overcome the problems associated with widely blasting a resume, targeted resume distribution services began. While basically the same as the regular resume distribution service, the targeted one gives you the option of selecting who will receive your resume. You can narrow down the recipients according to industry, salary level, position types and more. You even have the option of specifying the companies and recruiters you truly want to have your resume. While a much more effective way of finding a job you actually want, this service is more costly than the original resume distribution service.

If you are out of a job or simply looking for a new one, put technology to work for you. Select the type of resume distribution service that fits your needs and get started. In no time your job search will be wide open and you’ll be on the fast track to being amongst the newly employed.

There is nothing more frustrating and depressing when you are out of work and trying to find a job and your job search is going no where. Don’t feel bad, you are not alone and there is a good reason why searching for a new job can be so difficult. There is no doubt the job market has changed. 30 years ago when I applied for my first job I remember answering an ad in the paper, calling and speaking to a real person, going in for the interview, filling out a application, had the interview and was offered the $3.75 and hour shipping job. Things are not that simple today.

Back then there was no voice mail, no email, you mailed in a typed resume, who had a fax at home? You called and talked to a real person. You may of filled out a application but not the dozen forms you need to today. And you never had to prove you were legally allowed to work in the United States.

Today if you are looking for a job how to you stand out in the impersonal hiring environment that exists in most companies. If you apply online you are competing against dozens if not hundreds of others. Competition is stiff for a most jobs and a human may never even see your resume. Are there steps you can follow that will improve your chances? After being unemployed for several months after 3 years of self employment and becoming more depressed and frustrated in not finding a job, I took my job search to a new level which finally paid off in a new job.

I had been self employed for 3 years but after a divorce and starting life over, my self employment was no longer working. I had to bite the bullet and start looking for a job. The first mistake I realized was my resume was not working. I had updated it to reflect my self employment which was not related to my previous career.

I was trying to find a position similar to my previous career in the graphics and computer support industry. By starting my work history with my self employment it made it look like I had been out of the industry even longer and my skills even more outdated. I was just shooting myself in the foot. I changed my self employment to reflect my computer skills so while I had been out of the industry for awhile I wasn’t out of touch. Some employers have doubts about people who have been self employed. They think they are going to go back to their own business or worse they only want a job so they can use company resources for their own gain. In my case I was able to explain that I had an opportunity to work at home and spend time with my preschool son, it had been for family reasons. Most employers respect that.

To begin with you really need to take a hard look at your resume. If you have always worked in one area and are applying for a position similar to those you have had in the past then your resume may just need some updating and polish. There are a number of good books and websites on resume writing. If you really need help then a resume service may be money well spent.
How many resumes do you have? There is no reason you can’t have several. I was applying for a variety of unrelated positions. I would of looked “over qualified” or my experience would of been too unrelated for the position if I stuck with just one standard resume. I created a “general” resume that listed a variety of skills that could fit any number of non specific jobs.

You can have one that is very specific for the industry you are applying for and there is no reason you can’t change it to a specific company especially if it will be scanned in and checked for “keywords” Some companies scan for keywords or buzzwords related to the position, their company or industry. Even if you are the most qualified person for that position, if your resume doesn’t have those keywords, it will never get seen.

In addition to having a few different resumes you should have it in several different formats also. If you need to mail it in then a nice easy to read printed resume is in order. Same if you will be faxing it in. If you email your resume then your cover letter will be the body of your email and your resume will be attached. Most employers request it be in a word .doc format or text but you can also use a pdf format. If you have your own website why not post it online with a link in your email.

Be sure to include several ways to contact you. Home phone, cell phone, email. I had the unfortunate luck of having my cell phone and my home phone cut off for non payment within a few days of each other. As luck would have it someone I sent a resume to tried to contact me and couldn’t get through. They did send me a email saying they couldn’t reach me.

I was able to call them and get a interview. Don’t leave anything to chance. And if they leave you a message get back to them ASAP while your resume is still on their desk. When you get a interview, be on time, be prepared, do your research about the company you are interviewing with. You can usually find most everything you need off their company website. Come prepared with extra resumes, helpful if you have to fill out a application. Also have copies of your updated references. It is best to have more than 3. Some companies want professional references including past employers, others want personal references of persons not related to you. Be prepared for both.

Where to find a job? Dig! And keep digging! You may never know where one will show up. In some ways the internet has made job searches easier with a variety of job sites to search. You should probably set up accounts at the large sites like hotjobs and monster which will allow you to post your resume and apply directly to postings Also take a look at sites like indeed.com.

They are a search engine of sorts for jobs. They search several jobs sites at once. Saves time from going to each site. Post your resume so employers can find you. ASK! Don’t be afraid to let everyone you know that you are looking for a job. Drop a email to anyone who might know someone who might have a job opening.

You might be surprised how many people really do want to help you. Network your pants off! If you don’t ask no one can help you. Search everyday. Try and send out at least one resume a day if not more. Pick up the early edition of the Sunday paper. Send out 5-10 at a time. And keep sending them even after you have interviews set up. You can easily fall behind two or three weeks if you stop sending resumes in hopes of that job offer coming through.

Nothing better than telling someone, “I’m sorry I accepted another position” Apply for every job you are remotely interested in even if you don’t think you are qualified. Every job listed always has a laundry list of qualifications and requirements. In a perfect world they would find the perfect person that would match every requirement. But employers know that person doesn’t exist and they are looking for someone who closely matches and they feel will be a good fit.

At the worst you will never hear from them. At the best they will offer you a job or maybe something different within their company. You can always turn it down. Even if it turns out to be something you really don’t want to do, it might help you get by for awhile until a better position comes along. Never be afraid to apply to any job!

Are you concerned about making a career change in todays economy? Though I can’t look into the future to see what will happen, what I can do for you is share three tips that will increase your odds of getting the job you want.

Job Search Strategy #1: Go where the jobs are

It’s a wise move to read the executive job trend reports put out by my colleague, Mark Hovind, President of JobBait. I am a big fan of these monthly statistics that show you clearly what markets and states are still growing and hiring. In an uncertain economy, go where jobs are being created.

Another effective tip is to scan your local business journal, or set up a google news alert, to find industries that are growing. A few stable industries include education, healthcare and natural resources.

Job Search Strategy #2: Turn off the television

Seriously, turn it off! It’s completely negative and “all consuming.” It’s my personal opinion that mainstream media is anything but “fair and balanced.”

And don’t worry, you won’t lose touch. In fact, you will gain precious time in your day and you will be more at peace. You can focus on those things important in your immediate world.

Every day, through my sources, I am literally flooded with HUNDREDS of great job openings just from recruiters trying to find great talent (like you!) for their client companies. You won’t hear THAT on the evening news!

Job Search Strategy #3: Commit to at least 2 non traditional job search methods

Please allow me to just be blunt. Are you between 40 and 60 years old? Then you probably are most familiar and comfortable with traditional job search methods. You simply must take a little time to invest in learning about how you can find jobs that aren’t advertised.

It’s important because the techniques people use to find jobs that are not advertised decrease their competition by a MILE, improve their response rate TREMENDOUSLY (which does wonders for their confidence), and often results in more job interviews, bigger offers and a shorter job search. Y

You have much to gain and nothing to lose by learning these techniques. I promise you. Optimism and creativity in times like these is absolutely necessary to finding a job or making a career transition. Focus the same energy that you use to drive your career success into creative ways to land your next position and you will undoubtedly find the silver lining in the clouds of turbulent economic times.

The second step in getting the job is meeting the potential employer for an interview. The first step that an applicant has successfully completed was sending your application and passing the screening process of the company.

The employer got the resume through a variety of sources that can be from an ad that was posted, a referral from a friend or a headhunter, or by a person who simply submitted an application by logging on the company’s website.

Here are a few tips that will help in having a successful interview;

•	Before going to an interview, it is best to do some research about the company one is applying to.

•	It is also best to practice with a friend or family member mock up questions that the employer will likely ask so you do not choke during the real interview.

•	When you go for an interview, it is best to always arrive 10 to 15 minutes ahead of time. This shows employers that the person is punctual and serves as a good attribute in a potential employee.

•	When meeting an employer, you should bring an extra copy of the resume and other documents that are needed if asked certain questions. A good example is architects and photographers who are professionals in the respective fields who have a portfolio of the works done which may impress the interviewer.

•	It is always best to dress appropriately. This shows the employer sincerity on the part of the applicant applying for the job. One must have finger-nails and hair well groomed for the interview. The outfit worn should be professional. This would mean that shoes must be used to match the outfit. If you typically wear a lot of jewelry, it is advisable to remove and tone it down for the interview.

•	When you are in front of the employer, smile and greet the interviewer with a firm (but not bone crushing) handshake which is always a good start to get the interview moving.

•	During the course of the interview, listen very well to the questions asked. Each must be answered truthfully and confidently to be able to sell yourself to the potential employer.

•	Afterwards, the applicant should thank the recruiter for the time that was given to meet for the interview.

Finding a job and looking for somebody to fill a position are no longer difficult. Thanks to the innovations that technology has introduced, people are now adept with job searches. Both the job seekers and employers have more choices when it comes to finding jobs, whether online or offline research.

In fact, the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics asserted that there is a probable increase of 21.3 million jobs in the coming years. This is because job seekers are finding more ways to search for the right jobs.

<br />

One of the most commonly used methods for job searches is the job listing. In fact, most employers contend that job listing is the most effective way of landing a job. Surveys show that 47% of inactive people looking for jobs rely so much on job listings as a means of getting some information about job openings.

This concept is based on studies and surveys that job seekers are more inclined to search for jobs in terms of the available positions and not on the possible employers or companies.

Hence, it is important for the employers to know how to get the most out of job listings in order to maximize their hiring endeavor.

Here’s how:

1. Employers should learn how to concentrate on rewards that they can give to the people rather than what the company’s mission and vision are.

In most cases, job seekers are more interested on what they can get from the position that they are applying for rather than the history of the company itself. Hence, it would be better if the employers emphasize more on their job listing the benefits that people can get once they are hired.

2. Employers should present job openings in their job listings in a simple manner.

The key point in making job listings is not to expound more on the highly technical business terms. It would be better to emphasize what their company can do and how the employees can benefit from them.

3. It is important for the employers to be straight to the point when describing job positions in job listings.

There are instances wherein employers tend to make the position more technically conceptualized wherein the job description is mainly different from what the position entails.

Hence, it is important for the employer to tell the exact position and job description as it is in the simplest terms.

Indeed, job listings can be very beneficial to everybody. It just needs the right principle in order to be successful in job hunting and employee searches.
